About TMG

Extending ArcGIS into the modern data era

TMG / TechMaven Geospatial builds custom widgets, developer-edition solutions, and integrations that bridge Esri's platform with the modern geospatial data stack — DuckDB, cloud lakehouses, real-time IoT, indoor standards, and immersive mobile.

What we do

We are a geospatial engineering practice focused on one thing: making Esri's platforms do more. Our flagship line of work is a portfolio of 19 custom widgets for ArcGIS Experience Builder (17 available, 2 on the roadmap), each wiring a modern capability — in-browser analytics, cloud lakehouse access, real-time streaming, earth-observation discovery, indoor 3D, AR, video intelligence — directly into ExB experiences without forcing customers to stand up new backends.

Beyond widgets, we ship 25+ additional Esri developer-edition solutions spanning ArcGIS Pro add-ins, MCP servers, AI-powered coding assistants, cached-tile tooling, custom data feeds, and monitoring dashboards.

How we build

  • Client-first architecture. DuckDB-WASM and WebAssembly runtimes do the heavy lifting in the browser — preserving data sovereignty and eliminating middleware.
  • Standards-first interoperability. OGC API Features, Mapbox Vector Tiles, STAC, IMDF, CoT, GTFS, Iceberg, and Delta keep your investments portable.
  • Production discipline. SQL-injection prevention, input validation, error boundaries, strict TypeScript, and test-coverage thresholds — the same standards you'd expect from enterprise software.
  • Built to extend Esri, not replace it. Widgets integrate natively with FeatureServers, SceneView, Calcite/Jimu UI, and the ArcGIS Maps SDK.

Why it matters

ArcGIS is the most powerful commercial web-GIS platform available. But the broader data ecosystem — columnar analytics, cloud-native lakehouses, streaming IoT, modern indoor standards, immersive mobile UX — has moved fast. Each time a GIS team wants to connect ExB to one of those capabilities, it typically means custom development, a new server to secure and maintain, or a vendor lock-in.

TMG closes that gap with hardened, drop-in widgets that compose cleanly within a single experience and share a common foundation.
